Funny, all of them! Roz is a genius. But aren’t all memoirs the worst possible childhood?
I’ve read dozens and dozens of memoirs, Neola, and yep, a dark and disturbing childhood seem to be a prerequisite. I remember a New Yorker cartoon of an auditorium with the banner, “Adult Children of Functional Families Convention” across the top of the stage. One person was in the audience.😐
“Ka-blammo” in #3 gets me every time.😂
That first one made me laugh this morning! Thank you!
You are welcome, dear Kelly. We all need to laugh first thing in the morning . . . or any time of the day for that matter.❣️
Did you all notice the names of the cities in #2? Frittata, NJ? Lints, NE? And Mitosis, ID?
I had to look up mitosis because I vaguely remembered that it was related to biology or something. Here’s the definition: ” . . . a type of cell division that results in two daughter cells each having the same number and kind of chromosomes as the parent nucleus, typical of ordinary tissue growth.”
If that doesn’t reinforce, “There is no hope for you at this point”, I don’t know what does.
Thanks. I needed that!
