While putting this post together, I was reminded of a couple of lines from an episode from Ellen DeGeneres’ comedy series. Ellen is at a wine tasting and wants to sound sophisticated. She takes a sip of a white wine and describes it as, “naive yet chubby.”
She takes a sip of a red wine and describes it as, “naughty and ought to be taken around the corner and given a good spanking.”
I lifted those lines after a sommelier’s pour, with good judgement, of course.
