Every birthday, a beloved or two sends me a new message pin/button to add to my collection. I’ve never gathered them all together to investigate what they reveal about me . . . until yesterday. I spread them all out and clear themes emerged. Following are half of them arranged thematically.

Which ones do you immediately associate with me . . . or yourself?

JUST PLAIN MEAN

WE LOVE OUR PETS

In honor of Adrienne’s beloved, Jake, and my beloved felines, Isaac and Jem.

WE HATE HATE AND SO DOES JESUS

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS BUTTON

The very last button/pin was a birthday gift from my beloved, Beth, this year. I love it. I haven’t taken it off . . . Not even in the shower.

Love all the buttons and I don’t think the first group was mean at all.

Thanks, Neola. I did set them out where I can see them, so I suspect that I’ll be wearing one or two on a regular basis.❤️

    GREAT
Good laughs. Thanks for sharing. I especially love “The more you complain the longer God lets you live.”
All of the buttons are you!!

Glad they made you laugh, Charlotte. And yeah, all the buttons are kinda me.

What’s particularly satisfying about wearing the very last button over the last few days is that everyone, EVERYone, who reads it knows precisely to who the button is referring to. 😉

What I parTICularly love about the last button is that the flowery, colorful design lures you into thinking it is the backdrop for a “Kumbaya” message. Then the prick. For the prick.💪

Ha-ha-ha! That last one is a protest button by the artist Mary Engelbreit from St. Louis. She is known for her sweet and flowery drawings of children and animals, but she is also a fierce opponent of the current administration. She, like you, is not afraid to make a statement (unlike my representatives in Congress!)

Oh, I LOVE that Mary is an artist! I love that pin/button even more now❣️
