I’ve been busy with a personal project these days so haven’t been posting, but didn’t want Friday to go by without providing an opportunity to laugh, particularly at cartoons that were all in the same issue of The New Yorker!

The progression of Chast’s cartoon in #3 is masterful. Who would have thought it would end with the word, “raisins”? Cracks me up every time.
Yes, raisins were so unexpected. Very funny. But #1 made me burst out laughing. I just love that visual.

I’m not trying to be a particularly good person here – but the only boring people I’ve ever met have been people too locked down to be themselves. If you can pierce the veil, everyone is interesting.

And full disclosure, since I don’t really like large gatherings, I am very likely a “boring person” in #2.
In No. 1, I love how one of the characters is on the lookout while the other one takes care of the issue at hand.

Perhaps I’m just getting older and more ornery, but nowadays if I am stuck with a boring person at a party or table, I’ll most likely feign illness and excuse myself. Time’s a ‘wastin’!
