  • There is something I like about each of these cartoons, particularly the precocious little girl in Cartoon #3. Cartoon #1 features the tree currently nourishing the occupant of the White House.

HOWEVER, no contest — Cartoon #4 speaks for me, big time. When I saw it I knew that was my farmland. Also, I think the guy featured in this cartoon knows that his dog is an antidepressant as well. In fact, the dog could very well have led him to this spot.

  • #2 struck me as very funny. That angry bird face! So determined.

And yes, I want to be in that zen place of #4 today. Who doesn’t?

  • They are all good. I like #1. Tree of bullshit is such a good description. #4 is Great. I wish we could all see through those eyes all the time. Yes I am with you. The little girl in #3 is great.

    Thanks for the laughs.

  • #3 is speaking to me today. I’m trying to understand AI and prompts and the amount of work that goes into creating a prompt seems as much as the work it saves. But I’m probably not doing it right 🤩

  • #1 is my fave as just today I wrote a senryu poem:
    big beautiful bill
    or big bundle of bullshit
    you decide

#3 creeps me out as I figure that Chat GPT will be writing all the bedtime stories now … at the cost of our imaginations!

Grateful for the laughs today … even the creepy one!

  • I know it’s late in the day, but I’ll still submit the cartoon I personally like best. It’s #4. It reminds me of a dog (Shirley) that visits her owner’s mother in my condo building occasionally (not often enough, for me). I usually get to visit with Shirley then. She gives me all of her attention & love; when she sits by me, a sheet of Onion Skin Paper cannot fit between us! No matter what state of mind I’m in when I first see her, it’s 100 times better in 2 min than it was before I saw her (even if I feel great!). I’ve never felt an animal’s love quite like that!! Yes, she’s definitely an antidepressant!

    • Laura — it is never too late in the day to post a comment, and I love waking up to a comment as sweet as this one. I won’t be able to look at cartoon #4 without thinking that dog’s name is Shirley. The distance between you and Shirley measured by a sheet of onion skin paper is so touching. Can you sneak her over this way? I’d love to see the interaction between you two. Have you thought about getting your own “Shirley”? It’s a serious question. I think a “Shirley” would change your life . . . and hers.

  • Vicki, I just started working in AI (it’s been 10 whole days!) and so much is a mystery to me. That did look like an AI prompt to me too.
