My youngest sister asked me yesterday why I hadn’t published any other posts this week, and I shared with her what I consider good news: I actually completed a story for my memoir that I’ve been working on the last couple of months. It’s now in the capable hands of my Write Wing writing companion for her incomparable (and blunt) editing expertise. If all goes well, I plan to publish the story on Spark and Spitfire in two or three parts closer to Christmas.
In the meantime, yes, I’ll be cooking my infamous Thanksgiving turkey next Thursday.

It’s been a loooooong afternoon. I spent two hours stuck in traffic on my way to the liquor store (bad accident on the Parkway) to get pinot noir that was on sale; wine for Thanksgiving dinner. But now all I can do is whine, whine, whine!
