Not certain that there’s a common theme here. The first and second cartoons deal with language, the third is just quirky and the fourth is timely in more ways that one, at least for me, because like the 1993 movie “The Groundhog” [What?! it came out 30 years ago?!], I see my demons over and over again. All that being said, my favorite is the second one.
Not sure my beloved Kelly will see this post, but as she is the expert, is that a Starbucks coffee in the third cartoon? And is the convict a barista who got an order wrong? Or does Starbucks provide the means of punishment? Also, what size is that coffee? Venti? Grande? Trenta? Santa Maria?
I think we are supposed to assume that God is reading the Bible in the first cartoon and given his preferred pronouns, it’s most likely the King James translation. However, Thou cannot be certain.
In the second cartoon, we see from their name tags that Tom is with Jan and Tom is addressing Bob . . . but what is the name of Bob’s wife because we don’t see her name tag if she is indeed wearing one. From the look on her face, she’d rather be anywhere else, and she certainly doesn’t finish Bob’s sentences if she listens to him at all. I’m going out on a limb here and opine that the name of Bob’s wife is either Prudence, Osama or Moon Unit.

Charlotte, the more accurate adjective is “wise,” not “old,” particularly in your case.
HA! Thanks for the laugh. I really needed one! The seriously sour expressions in the second cartoon and the name tags, make me think of time spent recently with our Wyoming legislators … where it is sometimes difficult to get the opportunity to speak, much less too finish your sentence.
The first two are my favorites. Both made me laugh out loud. The second is so subtle. Love it.
