Same Spark and Spitfire. Different look and perspective.

After a nearly six-month hiatus, I am preparing to share my newly designed Spark and Spitfire far and wide. Thanks again to Adrienne for her time and patience in the language of inputs and outputs, uploads and downloads, folders and directories as well as a slew of acronyms — RAM, ASCII, JPEG, SMTP, MIC, KEY and MOUSE. There are still some vexing email notifications glitches, so continue to bear with us.
This post is entitled, “Field of Vision” because all of the fields in my beloved farmland were recently completely mowed down, giving me access to to areas that had been impassable because of thick grasses, bushes and briars taller than me (see photo above and photos below).

These mowed fields symbolize what I hope is a new perspective about life. More than two decades ago, I took pride in transforming corporate jargon (bullshit, really) into English. Today, I open one of my 1,200 volumes of poetry and am grateful for simple eloquence. Most of my life, I saw myself through the dark lens of “black rectangles.” Today, I see myself through the bright lens of sunrises. Most of my life, I yelled and bitched about most everything and then some. Today, I listen and talk to trees.
During this down time, I actually developed a Spark and Spitfire editorial calendar of sorts with topics ranging from surviving a rat infestation to an interview with myself about art to living for decades with an infuriating middle desk drawer that refuses to close. Also, weekly cartoons will still appear.
All to say, just because my path is different doesn’t mean I’m lost despite post email notifications. My spark and spitfire is intact and ready to ignite. Thank you for continuing to accompany me on the journey ahead.

Let me take a moment of editorial privilege to wish my oldest and beloved sister, Lauren, a very happy birthday today. So much love to her.

GRRRRRRRRRR!
Ironically, Adrienne had cataract surgery yesterday and a post entitled, “Field of Vision” on a platform with aggravating email notification issues isn’t helping! The surgery hasn’t been nearly as aggravating.😞 That being said, the surgery went well and she is healing.
Congratulations on your newly designed blog! Thank you to you and Adrienne for delivering this beauty to our in boxes. Technology has evolved faster than I have and I have made peace with the fact that I will not master it in this lifetime.
Healing wishes to Adrienne and birthday wishes to Lauren!
Thank you, Beth. Perhaps I should add your perspective to my new one: “Technology has evolved faster than I have and I have made peace with the fact that I will not master it in this lifetime.” I feel like a rotary phone when it comes to technology these days. Your comment was very liberating to read. Seriously. ❤️
Welcome back. Good to receive you and your newly created perspective.
On another note so glad Adrienne is healing well.
Thanks for reading and chiming in, Charlotte! ❤️
Beautiful look and wonderful perspective.
Thank you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳💕🎂
So good to have you back here again. Mowing down and gaining room for new perspectives. Sounds like something we could all do, maybe over and over again!
Thanks, Carol, and thanks for your prayerful presence as I texted and texted and texted you with updates on the successes and failures of our troubleshooting. The technology has really changed.🙏❤️
Worth the beautiful wait.
